Experience

An engineer who has spent years on both sides of the table — at the grid operator and at developers.

I started my energy career in 2009, helping customers choose a new energy supplier — a licensed electricity and gas trader acting as both balancing responsible party and settlement entity on the newly liberalised Czech market. I later completed training with the Association of Energy Managers, helped build an electricity and gas trading company, and worked through the pitfalls of EFET agreements and forward contracts — learning to trade commodities on the day-ahead and intraday markets at OTE.

During this period I also gained my first experience with the conditions for obtaining licences and preparing complete documentation for the Energy Regulatory Office (ERÚ).

When the energy crisis hit the Czech Republic in 2021, peaking in 2022, I changed direction and began to focus fully on energy legislation related to the construction of generation assets. Since 2023 I have been active in independent consulting, working with the distributors ČEZ, EG.D and PRE — where I learned how connection requests are evaluated, why projects fail and what can delay them. I have led the grid connection and construction of dozens of PV plants, BESS, CHP units and charging hubs.

Today I work as an independent consultant for investors, developers and industrial companies in the Czech Republic, taking responsibility for the result — and for the operation and management of energy assets, because construction and commissioning is only the beginning. For connected plants to meet their investor's expectations in operation, precise operating rules and conditions must be set logically and the contractual documentation with partners kept under control.
